apparently, iPhones are not yet available there.\u00c2\u00a0 Apple is said to be negotiating some deal, but from what I was told there are two cell phone internet providers that all other cell phones need to use and the iPhone is somehow able to circumvent their monopoly, so it could take a while.\u00c2\u00a0 The people can&#8217;t wait&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"My passport arrives!\" align=\"top\" alt=\"My passport arrives!\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thduggie.com\/albums\/zzz_blog_zzz\/Passport.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nHere, for your education, the box in which my passport arrived.\u00c2\u00a0 I have to correct my previous information: receiving it cost 7350 won, because the hotel charged a commission fee of 350 won, of which the clerk informed me with so many excuses I began to be embarrassed.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Sunset View of Seoul\" align=\"top\" alt=\"Sunset View of Seoul\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thduggie.com\/albums\/zzz_blog_zzz\/SeoulView.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nThis is the view from my hotel room after a day with torrential rain and light hail.\u00c2\u00a0 I can also see the Seoul tower, but it&#8217;s not on this picture and the iPhone has no zoom I know of, so it only shows up as a little lit stick anyway.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Pearl Shop in Seoul, Jongno 3ga\" align=\"top\" alt=\"Pearl Shop in Seoul, Jongno 3ga\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thduggie.com\/albums\/zzz_blog_zzz\/JewelryShopPrep.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nWork finished a little early on Wednesday, so I headed here, where I&#8217;d already might or might not have been a year ago on <a title=\"Nano Korea 2008 blog\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thduggie.com\/thduggies_blog\/?p=165\" target=\"_blank\">August 30<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Most the other jewelry shops had already closed, so I was quite happy to find this one with the lights still on, though later I found out I&#8217;d walked up a few minutes past closing time.\u00c2\u00a0 The first thing the father said was he remembered me.\u00c2\u00a0 A few minutes later and after some conversation that didn&#8217;t betray the fact the son suddenly asked, &#8220;You&#8217;re from Switzerland, right?&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 I showed them a photo of Janet wearing last year&#8217;s purchase &#8211; I keep a few wedding photos on my iPhone &#8211; but either they didn&#8217;t make the connection or they&#8217;re used to their pearls being used for important occasions.\u00c2\u00a0 I won&#8217;t say what I got this time, but I will make the next photo link to a map of their location.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0the best\u00c2\u00a0little pearl shop in Seoul as far as I&#8217;m concerned.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Great little pearl shop in Seoul Jongno (approximate location)\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=37.571292,126.993531&#038;t=h&#038;sll=37.566535,126.977969&#038;sspn=0.283287,0.512238&#038;ie=UTF8&#038;ll=37.571288,126.992898&#038;spn=0.00227,0.004801&#038;z=18&#038;iwloc=A\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Great little pearl shop in Seoul Jongno\" align=\"top\" alt=\"Great little pearl shop in Seoul Jongno\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thduggie.com\/albums\/zzz_blog_zzz\/JewelryShop.jpg\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAh, yes, much better with the glasses pushed up.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And, for closers, a few Engrish shots.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Yum yum!\" align=\"top\" alt=\"Yum yum!\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thduggie.com\/albums\/zzz_blog_zzz\/LargeTripeEntrails.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nWho can resist?\u00c2\u00a0 Incidentally, the Japanese &#8220;Horumon&#8221;
