There are a few more photos up in the usual place. Write me if you don’t know (or forgot) the username and password!
Pots and Pans
As mentioned, the stream of videos could cease any moment. Enjoy it while it lasts!
Joseph attempts to push a button.
Joseph gnaws on the screw in the pan lid – I think. It’s hard to say for sure what he’s up to.
Volunteer Gap Inn
This is another post to relieve our archives and my memory. In the summer of 2009, after our Blessing of the Marriage in Old Saybrook, we drove south via the Blacksburg area. Besides hiking to McAfee’s Knob, eating dinner at the Homeplace, and checking out the Floyd Friday Night Jamboree, we also spent the night at the Volunteer Gap Inn, which is such a good memory that I want to keep the information accessible and searchable here. The Inn is located at 579 Volunteer Road in Fancy Gap; we stayed in Cabin #5.
Evening Chatter
Joseph was talkative this evening, and we managed to catch it on video. Usually he has a sixth sense and stops babbling as soon as I push record, even when he can’t see me.
Joseph moves around the apartment, chattering and playing with the balcony doors.
Joseph goes on a babbling spree.
Note that he sits down in all kinds of positions.
Noise and Games
For all who can’t get enough of Joseph videos, here are a few more. It’s getting easier to upload them now that we take fewer videos and delete the uninteresting ones.
Joseph sings into a cardboard tube.
Joseph begins what could turn into a dangerous habit.
Joseph plays with his books.
Joseph breaks his first pot – one we don’t care about. I had to stop the video when he broke off a chip and tried to eat that.
Joseph claps to his favorite songbook.
Input, Output
In connection with Janet’s recent post, here are two videos of Joseph before and after elimination communication.
First, he eats soup.
Then, he pees.
Ireland 2011
Just before beginning my new job, we had the chance to visit Ireland for a week of sightseeing and oboe practicing that culminated in Valda & Richard’s wedding. The pictures (which are about 20% Joseph) are up here. Contact me if you don’t know the password.
Playing with the Beach Ball
Now, don’t think that this will happen often, but here’s another video of Joseph for your viewing pleasure. He was playing quite unselfconsciously until I brought the video camera, after which he hammed it up for a good while until he got used to the camera.
Time In = Time Out
Joseph turned 9 months old two days ago, and Janet had the presence of mind to take a short video on the day. Here it is, to tide you over until we get better at getting you videos.
