In connection with Janet’s recent post, here are two videos of Joseph before and after elimination communication.

At the end of the last video I say “I love you” and hold up the “I love you” sign. He imitates me as he’s done for a while now. I’m pretty sure he means I love you and isn’t just reaching out.
Sorry, I ask him to say “I love you” at the end of video, but he does it again in the second video.
It sure looked like baby “I love you” to me! 🙂
This is why you have to know your own baby. Even after watching the first video again, I barely noticed his cue, and only because you mentioned it.
But the “I love you” sign is much more obvious!
I finally ordered another little potty, so Joy can have a clean one in my lap and Faith can still use hers in the bathroom.
Where did you get your potty? I looked today at Target and Babies R Us and didn’t find anything nearly as nice as either Faith’s or Joseph’s. They are all so BIG. Not the kind of thing Grandma and Dad-o want to keep around for (all-too-rare) grandchild visits.
amazon – it’s the “Baby Bjorn little potty”. Other online retailers sell it also.
Switzerland. Made here, too. They sell Baby Bjorn as well. We used a bowl at first because I couldn’t find smaller potties. We also sit him on it backwards because the back rest is higher than the pee guard and as a boy . . .
