Vo Luzärn uff Wäggis zue

At the end of the first day of the fair, I had this tune going through my head that’s known as the “Rigilied” or under its first line, “Vo Luzärn uff Wäggis zue.”  I couldn’t quite figure out why it popped into my head again on Thursday, until I realized that one of the gantry cranes in the factory played that melody every time it was moved.

I guess I should be glad they didn’t play “Sound of Music” or “Copacabana.”

After that rollicking bout of yodels, I must concur that I don’t know why it popped into your head. Not a bad thing to have in there, though… 🙂

Do you mean Auld lang syne? They play it at the end of every work day. Even at the exhibitions.

Really? I guess they do have an affection for Burns. I meant Comin’ thru the Rye, which is the crosswalk music in one direction, at least in Kofu (and in the movie Swing Girls). I haven’t figured out yet what the music for the other direction is.
